Zane Yes I use a Flasjh, A Nissin Di622.

I dont use any special timing rig (n o$ for it...)

I use a couple of techniques, many posted here I squeeze a drop out of a container and time as best I can the impact on the surface water.

In another setting i have a water bottle with a pin hole allowing a drip about 10 drops per sec that I catch with another container. I then let a few through and time the impact.

I alway s use a remote to triger my camera o reduce vibrations.

All shots are with flash behind a screen to diffuse it.

Its insane work...I get a few that I'm happy with though.


You develop a sense of timing these things after a while.

I cant do the two drops very well yet (the umbrellas)

Corrie White in Canada does amzing 3 drop stuff but she uses special equipment (called a time machine that automates the drops and triggers camera/flash etc...)
