Hi Andrew, thanks for that, I just sent them an email and asked about the adapter plate, if they could do it (which being a machine shop they should have no problem making such things). I read a thread in the cloudynights forum about a week ago talking about crawmach (which I found through a google search) and couldn't find it again - and also couldn't remember their name, no matter how much I searched, I had all but given up.

THe search continues once again........................

Thanks again, you may have changed the whole tale I am going to tell once I complete this saga.... it may have read "after breaking my scope while trying to retrofit a GSO crayford focuser..."
