I just had a look at the Starry Night Enthusiast manual and on Page 20 it writes:
"If Starry Night Enthusiast is showing a daytime scene, try changing the time so that it is night".
Also, have a look on Page 29 where it writes:
"With Starry Night Enthusiast, you can get around this problem by selecting View->Hide Daylight from the menu, or unchecking “Daylight” in the Options pane (Local View)".
It goes on to say: "This turns on or off the effects of a planet’s atmosphere, including the scattering of light which makes our sky appear blue. If it is daytime and you turn daylight off, you will be able to see the stars which are normally hidden".
