As is I'd say for eyepieces. There is no locking screw to hold the focus fixed in place, so anything heavy and not symetrical may result in causing rotation. You can always tap a thread into the body to accept a locking screw or two. A nylon locking screw so not to damage the thread of the draw-tube.

It can take light weight cameras though in its current form. The rotation motion requires a firm action so it doesn't move unnecessarily.
