I have an Orion Variable Polarising Filter which is a pain to get onto my Meade EP but goes on easily to my TeleVue EPs.
Are the filters 2 inch?
Bintel has something called a Tele Vue 2" Eyepiece Barrel Extender. I have one and it seems to slip into EPs easily as well as accepting a filter. It may or may not work and unfortunately will cost you $45 for a try. It will extend your EP tube by 3cm but this can be absorbed by your focuser. It is possible that working the extender onto your EPs might loosen up the thread. Better than damaging your filters.
Otherwise, do the filters fit in the end of a barlow which your EPs can use? This will however increase your magnification and reduce your field of view.
