Hi Mike, I unfortunately found out that the 16" won't fit in my Laser. Oh well I'll have to put up with the 12" Ha, Ha!!

I think it's a great thing that a mass-produced 16" is coming out. The GS quality is good, they're affordable, and it will satisfy aperture fever for those on 8" and 10"'s. Whether the people with 12"'s can justify an upgrade is debatable, but i'm sure some people will.
Plus, the truss will definitely be more portable than the long tubes we have now (especially the 12") and will be easier to fit in the car and take to dark skies!
I wouldn't mind seeing a picture of the GS truss dobs though.. to see how similar they look to the Meade Lightbridge.
