Eta Carinae HaRGB

I got the opportunity to get some quality Ha data on NGC3372 last week and as I had a fair bit of colour data already on it from Wiruna I decided to do a Ha blend to finish it off. I think the result is better than the original color version that lacked a bit of punch.

I have a bigger file as a compressed JPEG here [2MB].

The colour channels were shot as RGB 6x10min and 24x1min with a QHY8 on the 90mmAPO. The Ha was 8x10min.

I used 50% of the Ha channel in the Red channel and 15% inside the Blue channel then boosted saturation and color balanced and leveled the final in phostoshop.

I'm pretty happy with it. That's the best I have to date in color for this object. Until next time.

Hope you like it.
