General tips to view the sky with Binos?

Hi Guys,

I've just started to get into Astronomy and I have just purchased Bino's 15x70, and I'm ready to use them. I was just hoping someone can suggest some tips on how I can maximise the most out of my viewing. I'm looking for the below:
  • Are there better times to view the sky at night, say 10pm or 5am?
  • Are there better times to view the sky in the year?
  • Should I find the darkest place to view from?
  • Should I leave my bino's outside for 30mins prior to obeserving?
  • Any other tips would be great?
