The University of Tasmania will open the Radio Observatory and Museum to the general public.
- Take a guided tour of the 26m telescope and it's control room
- visit the Museum detailing the work of Grote Reber who was the first radio astronomer
- See 3D mini-movies about astronomy
- Check out the whispering dishes
- Safely look at the sun
- BBQ
The observatory is located off the Cambridge Richmond Rd, on Denholms Rd.Turn left at the Medowbank winery (vertical flags on corner), then up the hill at sharp left hand bend.
