Welcome to the Dyson club!
I've had mine for a couple of years now. It did a marvelous job of destenching the boys bedrooms. The only downside is that it unravels frayed carpet at an alarming rate.
The top of the range model orders its own spare parts if it breaks down. Seriously, it does.
Don't let the guys here give you any crap about using it, it's only because they don't appreciate fine machinary that does exactly what it is meant to do, but with smoothness and style.
