oddly enough i have never had a dew heater installed on anything in the observatory - it can be dripping and running off the dome and filling up the lower door but i have nothing on the optics or tube

I tell you, Newcastle weather sucks  , so unpredictable. The weather reports just don't get it that right for here  ...when I was watching Kurri stats they were pretty spot on most of the time, also, even when it is clear/ish out, without an observatory and with a slightly complex system to set up makes it bloody hard to risk it - I'm going stir crazy

i can sympathise with you Mike - even tonight it is crud i knew it was a tad reddish but didnt know hom much to bring it back to - still learning to balance the filter. hopefully tomorrow night i will use a borrowed filter to see if its better to work with.
