Yeah good points. Lots to consider really. I'm sure I'd be perfectly happy with the 583, but I did notice that the 683 cools 45 degrees versus the 38 degrees for the 583. The dowload times didn't worry me either, as you say it doesn't matter much when doing longer subs. Guess I will just read some more about both models before I place my order, I still have a few months to go before I'm in a position to do so
