Logieberra, (Logan), Gem, (Grant) and I met up last night for a nights camping up in the Canberra mountains with some other families and friends for a night around the campfire.

The clouds did not look good, so we settled into BBQ snags, lots of nibblies and drinks and a good old story swap around the fire with the other folks.

It was a great night, made better by the fact that the clouds finally decided to clear. This was discovered when I turned off the bright gas lantern and one of the ladies said, Barry!! LOOK UP!"

It was short-lived, but long enough for everyone to experience the beauty that is the Milky Way, away from the city lights.

Magnificent!
