First run with G11 Orion & Horsehead

I had my first night with the G11 with my C11 on top....no guiding as I am awaiting more counter weights.

Both images were on the C11 with 6.3 focal reducer.

Shot these at my home Tingalpa Brisbane.

The Orion was 30 x 90 second exposures at ISO 800 at a focal length of approx 1900mm.

The horsehead was 10 x 90 second exposure ISO 800

I used my new Baeder UHC-S filter for Both these images...the Orion I had to reduce the red channel as it looked to take over to much.

Seeing was terrible as I started to take these shots at 8:30pm..I was doing this as more of a test shot but ended up being very happy with the raw images so I decided to process them.

I used DSLR Focus and Images plus with final touches in Photoshop CS

NO flats or dark frames used....but I did shoot in raw.
