Hi Noel. Suggest that you try another cable or two if you can. I had 4 various cat5 cables of unknown provenance in my junk box and, when my original controller cable gave up, found that only one of them would work with the HEQ5pro. Of the two new ones I bought, one worked OK and the other didn't. Did not bother to find out why, but this part of the system seems to be a bit hypersensitive - maybe these IDC connectors are not ideal for power wiring?. Regards Ray
