Question on LX200 Collimation

Hi
I've never collimated my LX200R and after i checked it wasnt the best. I followed the Meade instructions and noticed that even after I got it 'right' (relatively), If i moved the defocused star image towards the edge of field it deformed ie: centred rings if in centre of the field and not if moved to the edge.

My question is - is this what it should look like after collimation? Two ccd images here to help explain my query.

Logic tells me I should see centred rings right across the field of view?

Thanks
Dan
