As it happens I don't think it was the upgrade. I changed the Hdd for a 1TB up from 500Gb and now the pc won't start. Fans work power led doesn't nor the rest of the pc.
Looks like ps problem. Might explain the ticking noise I been listening to the last few weeks. I have a spare 460W ps but the one that died was 750.
The other thing is we had 3 brownouts within 2 mins last night.
