I can remember one reporter on FoxNews doing an interview when Japan was struck.
The Seismologist confirmed it as a 9.0 and she kept getting excited and saying "but it could be a 9.5" and he would say "no" and she would keep repeating "but it could've been", until he finally said "yes, it possibly could have been, but it wasn't"
Then after she had finished the interview she very seriously faced the camera and said "There you have it, and now some video of the resulting horror of that terrible earthquake measured at a possible 9.5 magnitude"
