Appalling table manners.

Looking closely at the wings of the third fly, small serrations can be seen on the leading edges. I suspect that these improve lift at low speed by producing vortices (spinning airflow - reduced pressure) that curl over the upper wing further decreasing pressure.

Any fly experts on the forum.
