That's the stuff Baz ... very good for building ... I've got loads of it lying around my block all I need is mortar and a bit of time ... years probably
The old obs had stood up to some terrific winds and storms for 2 years 'till this happened ... suddenly it was all over in a matter of minutes or seconds ... I didn't see it get hit as it was pitch black outside and in ( no power ) the only light source was the lightning that was going off all around.
Thanks for your thoughts and good luck with your new obs ... build it strong. I guess you can take my old observatory off your website mate !
