Thanks all for your comments .... lots of old homesteads around here are made of local Toodyay stone and they've been here a long time ( since the late 1800's ) so it could be the go ... I'll just have to learn how to build with it
... I'll probably go with a box steel frame on a poured slab though when the time comes.
