You know when you get to 'know', and you can 'name' all different cloud types, just like you get to know constellations.
For example you go outside to set up and you say to yourself.
Mmm...there's a little too much 'altocumulus' out tonight, no maybe that's a bit high....it must be 'stratocumulus'.
And later in the night it develops into 'cumulonimbus'.
Oh bugger, what's on TV!!!!!
