I whole heartedly agree with you Doug
I have 1.25" and 2" eyepieces that 1.25" and 2" filters don"t fit
The threads are either different or the barrels to big for the filters
You only usually find this out when it is dark and you want to use them for the first time sometimes months after you have bought them
