I spent ALL NIGHT with the latest version of GeminiTelescopeController.

I feel much better now. I have set the limits, enabled the fancy voice warning / alerts and other jazz. It’s working perfectly now. A powerful piece of software

FYI - when using the new hand controller, if you depress a directional arrow and slide your finger off that arrow (anywhere on the screen) it enables SLEW LOCK. The only way to stop this is to touch the same directional arrow. Scared me at first, thought I had a broken hand controller until Peter Ward explained the feature to me. This SLEW LOCK is replaced by a double tap on the virtual hand controller within GeminiTelescopeController.

Hope this helps a noob out there. It's a great system, you'll just need to spend an evening with it
