Cables, cables, cables. Check and double check your cables, check that the guide cable is no where near a power cable and last of all buy some spray contact cleaner and spray the sockets and move the plugs in and out a few times while the cleaning spray is wet.
About 90% of all guiding problems are something to do with the cables ,plugs or sockets.
