Partial Lunar Eclipse, December 21st 2010

Hi all

Better late than never? These images were taken at the Partial Lunar Eclipse on the 21st December 2010.

They were taken on the beach at Avoca, and my scope on the EQ6 setup on the sand brought in a few onlookers who wanted to ask about my gear and have a look through the telescope.

Unfortunately I couldn't show them through an eyepiece because my camera was attached to the scope, but a few looked through the viewfinder

I wasn't really happy with how these turned out - I was *waaay* out of practise for all types of photography. Will have to get some more practise in before the Total Lunar Eclipse on June 16th.

The first 5 were taken with the Canon 40D + 24-105mm lens on the tripod, and the last 3 were taken with the Canon 40D through the ED80.

Thanks for looking.
