Who knows; but with the materials and labour(if not doing yourself) it would come close to the same cost. Best to get them.
Reason? Either use a strong two-handed grip and muscle to loosen/tighten the stndard clutch knobs.. Or use easy leverage with the 3-lever clutch knob set to loosen the clutch grip.
It a shame its not standard; but they really DO help.
