Saturn 6th March

Hi folks,

Took a peek at Saturn last night at around 10.30pm from my backyard. The view was surprisingly good. The night before at the Briars it was terrible so I was happy to get a decent view through my new scope (Stellarvue 105 APO Triplet).

I was viewing through my Stellarvue 105 APO Triplet with a 6mm TMB Planetary Type II eyepiece (sold by Sylvain on the forums here). I also added a 2x Barlow at some points during the viewing too.

The image was incredibly sharp and steady even though Saturn was still quite low in the East and I had a fair bit of light polution in that direction.

The rings ran SW - NE in my eyepiece (not sure of the true direction). I could clearly see two moons - one on the left and one below. I think there was a third somewhere between them which popped into view as well.

Could anyone help me figure out these two things:

1. Which direction is UP?
2. What were the moons I saw?

Thanks,
Af.
