I know there's plenty of royalty free stuff around, but it's just not the same as stuff you've written and recorded yourself (usually it's better!
). The main purpose was to show its not real hard to do your own music if you want to. I confess it was easier than I expected. Of course the more musical knowledge you have the easier it is too, but you don't need to be Dave Gilmour or Joe Satriani to make something that suits your clip exactly how you want it.
I'm not sure what Fruityloops sells for these days, but it used to be quite reasonably priced. I don't know if there's a freeware/open licence equivalent though
