saturn storm

Hi folks, I am a little late with this reply, however Sunday night I decided to set up the 17.5 as the sky was near perfect here in Kettering. At about midnight I started to look at the darker sky as the moon had set, by 1am saturn was getting very sharp, divisions in the rings and what appeared to be a very visible blue band in one of the hemispheres! I am thinking this is what you all are talking about. I was very excited about the clarity of the planet as this is the first time since I have owned this scope that saturn has been positioned nicely in the sky. I was able to observe with a combination of my 13mm ethos, paracor and 2x powermate, it was stunning. I finally quit at 3:15 am. I do hope what I had seen was the storm! cheers all Graham
