Hi All,

Saw something very similar at a time-share presentation I went to in Honolulu a couple of months ago (I had no interest in it -- we got a free meal plus $100 U.S cash for a 40 minute presentation).

At one of the adjacent tables was an older couple and the sales-person stood up walked over to a wall and triumphantly rang a large, well-polished brass bell mounted there and all the other presenters stood up and started clapping and yahooing -- then the Champagne corks popped.

I just sat there and thought "only in America ...".

Seems I was wrong.

I'd think it has two purposes -- it makes it very difficult for the client to back out without embarrassment if they start having second thoughts and secondly as a motivational tool for the other sales persons.

Ugh !

Best,

Les D
