Early morning Sombrero (M104) + Sidonio'd re-pro

The half decent skies this weekend allowed me a few "engineering" nights to work on software and workflow tweaks. Before closing up last night I thought about having a go at M83, but all my backyard trees put a stop to that. M104 was begging for attention however, so I managed to run off 30:20:20:20 LRGB with 5 min subs before packing it all up.

I'm reasonably sure I can squeeze more out of this data eventually, but don't expect to have the time to do so for a while, so here is the first hack at it tonight. I think the star shapes are a combination of laziness not re-focusing for many hours and tracking.

Taken with the Newt/QHY9 through IDAS LPS from the city. I'm tickled pink with this compared to what I had previously managed with the 450D, and love the little extra scale I get with the QHY9 pixel size. 1st image is approx 50% crop, 2nd cropped ever so slightly from full frame to cut out alignment overlaps.

Anyway, haven't posted for a while, so thought I better put something up. Thanks for looking
