Well done on getting M1. It is not overly easy, now I have seen it a few times it is getting easier to spot. THe Open Cluster NGC 2244 is the group of stars at the center of the Rosette Neb and is quite easy to spot. It is a distinctly rectangular cluster. If you manage to spot any of the larger nebula surrounding then very well done, but you will only normally see patches as it is VERY large.
