Thanks for that Peter. I'll keep that in mind. A 1 tb external HDD is about all I'm going to run off it. I don't have the upstairs sparks to work out how to create a network so I see this as a good option to make a central storage space to access 'stuff' from any computer, anywhere within range of the router. And maybe a printer, but its not essential seeing as I only print once in a blue moon.
