Leon ... Can you " Roll Back " your XP " to a previous time.
You may lose some current data ... back anything up before hand.
Go to '" System Restore " and choose a date before all this " crap " started.
That's about all I can suggest...other than a complete fresh install of Windows and then install your OFFICE programme so it is fresh to...plus everything else you need on your laptop.
Pain in the neck...the last suggestion ... doing it all again...
