Brandon Convert

I gave-in to the urge to try one of these and ordered a 24mm a few weeks ago. I have no regrets!
I honestly didn't think there would be much of a difference between it and my Tak 24 or 19 Panoptic, but though slight, the difference in clarity and throughput (more) and scatter or ghosting (less) is quite noticable.

It's particularly good in slower scopes like SCTs and Maks, though I'm informed that they lose their 'edge' in scopes faster than about f7. Also the shorter (<12mm) Fls suffer from poor eye relief. So I'll hang onto the Taks and TVs in that range.
While having a FoV of only around 50*, I found the views of Luna, Globular Clusters and Nebulae in the Brandon to be more detailed and clearer (by a small margin, mind) than in either the LE or the Televue.

This isn't to say I'm gonna toss my Naglers and Pans, but there are times I will happily fore-go the "spacewalk experience" for a sharper if narrower, view.
As an added bonus, with the AU$ so high, the Brandons can be had for around $265 all-in.
Not cheap, but you won't be disappointed.
