Not sure what response I will get to this. Yesterday I was at a local sanctuary doing some photography. As I was finishing up and walking back to the car this hoon came careening out of a side road momentarily losing control of his car.
Just as I was getting to my car, a little further up the road, the hoon pulled up alongside got out (standing on the other side of my car) and asked whether I had, or intended to, photograph his car. I said no, at which point he threatened to bash me
and other unsavoury things
I can't run because of an operation, and getting in the passenger side and squeezing into the driver seat is a major problem for me. So I put my camera in the car and motioned around toward this guy (not sure what possessed me to do that), at which point he retreated to his car still mouthing off and threatening to do me over.
It was just bad timing, and it only goes to show that even the most innocent pastimes can draw the attention of the wrong people.
The retractable dog lead that I keep in my car might have made the difference - I suspect that the sight of it in my hand caused this guy to have second thoughts about continuing with his tirade.
