My cables used to be a nightmare, but after numerous failed imaging runs due to balance shifts and cable stiffness, I tidied up. Big time. I love my cable loom now - it's utterly manageable and with the simple installation of a flat piece of aluminium installed between the two main scope's clamshell thumbscrews, I hide all the cables behind that and they can flex to whatever position they need without dislodging and killing my balance.
I have a DSLR and CCD camera running as well as the guide camera and heater controller cables all tucked away. Who said that a G-11 had to be messy?
