Hi All
As a pom from the other side of the world I relished in the celebrations of the England cricked team giving the Aussies a bit of their own medicine on their own soil and enjoyed taking the micky during any correspondence that I had with my friends over here. However, I am dismayed and shocked at what a lot of Australians are now having to go through because of the floods in Brisbane and elsewhere, I have heard that some people have gone missing and some have lost their homes and indeed their towns as a result of this terrible disaster.
I hope that things will abate soon and clearer skies return so that you can return to a safer place. We are lucky over here in the UK where our extremes are nothing like what you are experiencing right now. My thought are with all my friends on the forums and for everyone affected by this calamity.
