This is the type of landscape image that I most enjoy indulging myself in and capturing; pristine, untouched, and wild.

I made this image at the bottom portion of Maclean Falls, which were heavily flowing at the time. The presence of soil in the water (discolouring in the fall, and in the source fall towards the top right) indicates that it had been raining very heavily around the time of my trip to this location. I can attest to the insane amount of rain falling in the area.

The Catlins, South Island, New Zealand.

Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
4s f/16.0 at 22.0mm iso100

Hardly any post processing work needed to be done; RAW sharpening, cropping, and a levels adjustment layer green-channel masked at an opacity of 33% just to bring the mosses out a touch.

As a treat, I've put a large version up here so you can appreciate the scene and its beauty a bit more. Nothing comes close to the print, though.

Your comments and critique, are as always, most welcome.
