I got word from the horses mouth that it will be very much like the Meade, with the exception of the fitting of the truss poles. The meade gets a quick connect assembly, whilst the GS version doesnt, making assembly/disassembly a bit more time consuming.
I agree that the size of the base assembly will make it something of a monster. A much better idea would be a low slung rocker and mirror box of the tradional truss dob design
