Eudynamys scolopacea aka Common Koel. The appearance matches the female but its behavior suggests it is a juvenile. If you keep an eye on it I suspect you will find that it is still being fed by the foster parents. They make a lot of noise when first out of the nest to make sure that aren't lost or forgotten. It seems a bit late in the season - it's been a few months since a male sat in the tree in the neighbour's yard and called all day and all night - but that is the only thing it could be.
