I know the NexImage isn't the top of the line camera, but it will have to do until I can move up the food chain. I noticed that if I set my camera for 30fps, I have very little noise. But if I bump that down to 15,20 or 25 fps I start seeing more noise as I go lower in frame rate. Is this normal for this type of camera, or could I possibly be doing something wrong?

Thanks!

Good question Art, one I'd be interested in the answer to as well! I've had a NexImage for years and have ignored advice to lower frame rate because the whole frame disappears in a welter of strangely-coloured noise when you do. 25fps is about the lower limit. Often wondered why, capture program, setting, cam/chip limitations, defect, what??

Welcome to IIS too!
