Set the alarm for 2am and had a peek out the window - clear skies - woah! So spent about 90 minutes in the back yard. When my eyes were open (

) I saw 14 that seemed to emminate from the Geminid radiant, and 4 sporadics. A couple that were close to the radiant (and therefore close to headon) were nice and bright - leaving trails.
Also a handful of satellites, including what must have been an Iridium, given the few second extreme brightening.
A worthwhile observing session.
