There seems to be two main camps.

Those who pursue Dark Matter and ask questions about its nature, and in this case, its apparent imbalance with Baryonic matter.

And then those who pursue the concept that miscalculations have occurred or, mis-measurements have been made or, that current measurement technologies are not sensitive enough …. all thereby, eliminating the 'need' for darkness.

..All to be expected, I guess, given that the search for darkness is presently at the top of the US Government funding list for astro scientific research, over the next 10 years.
