This program reveals the technological leaps forward that have enabled the world's biggest space station, the International Space Station, to be built. The International Space Station orbits 320km above our heads, hurtling around the Earth at 28,160km/h. It is one of the greatest engineering feats of all time. The film explores how the space station was made possible through a series of five engineering breakthroughs. Using CGI animation, it reveals the incredible stories behind previous space stations and the inventions that have pushed the boundaries of science.
