if any area will test for reflections, this is definitely it... Alnitak will cast its influence even when well out of the fov.
If you're looking for some top notch flocking, buy some of the self adhesive light trap material from
Protostar..
i've had my newt tube flocked with this gear from its conception... it improves contrast no end and is far better than anything I've seen... worth the wait. No fluffy bits to interfere with light paths or dislodge onto optics or mirrors.
