Inspired by Ross' photos I started doing exposures on the barnard loop in Ha last Saturday. My first with a 18-35 Pentax lens. Still new to this lens business so bear with me on this one. I didn't realise how wide the field was and I took a good hour of my house roof until it cleared completey and I started picking up what I believe might be the rosette nebula at the bottom. Well half of it.
Seems I got the focus right. Beginner's luck?

Did it on Jupiter with a mini-bathinov mask bought right here on IIS from a member. Works real good.
So this is 10x900s. Guided through the ED80 and piggy backed on my G11. Bit of dew on the lens on the last subs and still very noisy. Warmish night but I reckon with a bit more practice and data I should make something out of it.
Big one
here. (800kb - had to crop the roof off so this is probably 75% of original frame)
Thanks for looking.
