Meade series 5000 4.7mm UWA eyepiece

Tested in a Meade LX200 GPS 12" F10

I have just recently bought this eyepiece as a high powered planatary eyepiece for use when seeing allows, and wow, what can I say. The first meade eyepiece that was actually worth the money i spent.

The field of view is great, and even though it is around 650x magnification through my scope the view is crystal clear.

Jupiter in average seeing was perfectly focused, right to the edge of the field, there is ever so slight distortions towards the edge... but like i said, ever so slight.

I always thought that there was an issue with my scope, but i think it was just my rubbish chinese built series 4000 eyepieces letting this scope down. After using this eyepiece i cant wait to recieve my 18 and 30mm.

Will review the lower powered ones later with full review, as clouds are stopping a full review.
