I was at the site today Ric beyond Silverton and will be there tomorrow as the town reservoir is overflowing, the road is now closed and has been washed out but here is a pic of the not so dry desert.
Over the plains on the pic is where they made a 2 kilometre strip for some low flying scene to take place but as luck would have it it rained and its green so now they have to wait till it all dies off and looks arid again.
Yep the place looks like a rural setting.
